CCM - COMBUSTION CONTROL SYSTEM

The CCM is a system which enables in real time data acquisition of cylinder pressure on engines. Data can be recorded from up to 20 cylinders for closed loop control applications and to diagnose malfunctions or to assist in the setting and optimising of engine parmeters e.g. balancing cylinder.

IMES offers CCM systems for diesel and gas engines.

CCM MARINE

CCM Marine is designed for 2- and 4-stroke diesel engines and is available as fixed and portable version.

CCM MARINE IS A MODERN SYSTEM FOR ADVANCED ENGINE BALANCING.

At the centre of the efforts is cylinder balancing – the equalisation of output across all cylinders.
Well balanced engines minimise fuel consumption between 2% and 3%.

As an additional benefit , emissions of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxid can be reduced by some 2%. The smoother engine running will decrease wear and tear in the engine.

CCM MARINE 2-STROKE PERFORMANCE

CCM Marine 2 stroke performance is a multi channel data acquisition unit for 2 to 12 cylinders for fixed installation with our TCS-01CA sensor on 2-stroke diesel engines. It is easy to use as an online solution for condition and performance monitoring. The combustion pressure is measured in each cylinder continuously and in parallel speed range 40...900 rpm.

The CCM software together with the new IMES IPE performance evaluation software allows an easy collection, management and comparison of engine performance data. Performance graphs and reports show deviation and suggest actions to take.

This enables extensive savings by reducing fuel and oil consumption.

CCM Gas Engine

CCM Gas Engine is designed for spark ignited gas engine as well as dual fuel engines and is also available as fixed and portable version.

CCM GAS ENGINE COMBUSTION CONTROL SYSTEM.

CCM Gas Engine is a modern multi cylinder data acquisition system for advanced engine balancing on gas and dual fuel engines. The quick data acquisition and recent visualisation software enables extensive analysis about engine performance. Higher outputs with lower NOx emissions can be attained in high efficiency gas engines, combustion knocking can be detected and evaluated and misfiring from over-lean mixtures avoided.

CCM GAS ENGINE CONTROL

CCM Gas Engine control is designed for pressure control in a closed loop system. It enables continuously cylinder balancing to increase the engine operating stability and to keep the peak cylinder pressures at a suitable level. Combustion knock can be realised and operating parameters can be adjusted immediately.

The misfire detection prevents incomplete combustion which makes the engine unstable and decreases the efficiency. When knocking or misfiring is detected the data will be transmitted from CCM by CAN bus to the automation system which acts to stabilise engine operation.

Optimising engine settings to improve combustion, thus minimising gas consumption and NOx emissions, based on cylinder pressure readings will become increasingly important to meet IMO Tier III emissions limits in Emissions Control Areas (ECAs).
